Yesterday started the NY Fashion Week.  For many years (since 1933) it has been in Bryan Park, but this year they move it to the Lincoln Center, one of the most important art locations in Manhattan, especially for opera, ballets and concerts.

The event will take place from the 9^th until the 16^th of September, and the sponsor, as every year, is Mercedes-Benz. During the event, ninety designers will show their 2011 Spring / Summer collection.

If you are interested in the fashion shows and you happen to be around there, you can visit the official site to learn about schedule and special events.  If you are not there, you can follow the event in the Harper’s Bazaar web page where you will also learn about the latest gossips and everything that is going around the event and the parties.

Empezó el día de ayer la semana de la moda en Nueva York, por años (desde 1933) se había llevado a cabo en Bryant Park, pero este año lo movieron al Lincon Center, que es un lugar famoso como centro de arte en Manhattan, aquí es donde se presentan las grandes operas, ballet y conciertos.

El evento, como todos los años, es patrocinado por Mercedes-Benz y durante la semana del 9 al 16 de Septiembre se presentarán más de 90 diseñadores con sus colecciones Primavera-Verano 2011.

Si te interesa seguir los desfiles y que está pasando por allá puedes meterte al  sitio oficial, si quieres algo más divertido ve a la página de Harper’s Bazaar donde te enteras no sólo de los desfiles sino también de que pasa alrededor y en las fiestas.
